Our Story

How So Hikers
Was Born

We met through Xiao Hong Shu in early March 2023. Phor Xiang had been leading a hiking community since 2018 — but it didn't yet have a name.

During a hike at Bukit Pau, Kemensah on March 17, 2023, we talked about giving the group an identity. By the end of that hike, the energy was high — everyone was excited, shouting "So high! So hike!" And just like that, So Hikers was born.

Our slogan? So We Get High Lah! Because we're all about high spirits, high places, and high vibes. S stands for Sporty, and O stands for Outstanding — just like our community.

Our mission is to build a fun, inclusive hiking community while exploring the hidden gems of Malaysia and beyond — bringing people together through nature, adventure, and genuine connection.
